New Delhi, Nov 30 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Tuesday fell by Rs 198 to Rs 5,145 per barrel after participants cut their positions.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for December delivery dropped by Rs 198, or 3.71 per cent, to Rs 5,145 per barrel with a business volume of 6,703 lots.

Analysts said the fall in crude oil futures was due to trimming of positions by traders amid a weak spot demand.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was trading 2.44 per cent lower at USD 68.24 per barrel.

Meanwhile, Brent crude, the international benchmark, eased by 2.70 per cent to trade at USD 71.46 per barrel in New York. PTI SHW RUJ RUJ
