New Delhi, Dec 27 (PTI) Gold prices on Monday rose by Rs 41 to Rs 48,160 per 10 gram in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions amid firming spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for February delivery traded higher by Rs 41, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 48,160 per 10 gram in a business turnover of 8,750 lots.
Fresh positions built up by participants led to the rise in gold prices, analysts said.
Globally, gold prices traded 0.09 per cent lower at USD 1,810 per ounce in New York. PTI RUJ ANU ANU
