New Delhi, Dec 29 (PTI) Silver prices on Wednesday rose Rs 90 to Rs 62,604 per kg in the futures trade as participants widened their bets on a firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for the March delivery gained Rs 90, or 0.14 per cent, to Rs 62,604 per kg in 10,589 lots.
Analysts said the rise in silver prices was mostly due to fresh positions built by participants on a positive domestic trend.
Globally, silver was trading 0.57 per cent higher at USD 23.18 per ounce in New York. PTI RUJ HRS hrs
