New Delhi, Jan 11 (PTI) Silver prices on Tuesday rose Rs 263 to Rs 60,930 per kg in the futures trade as participants widened their bets following firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for March delivery gained Rs 263, or 0.43 per cent, to Rs 60,930 per kg in 16,568 lots.

Analysts said the rise in silver prices was mainly due to fresh positions built by participants on a positive trend in demand.

Globally, silver was trading 0.79 per cent higher at USD 22.64 per ounce in New York. PTI RUJ BAL BAL
