New Delhi, Jan 13 (PTI) Silver prices on Thursday rose Rs 60 to Rs 61,916 per kg in the futures trade as participants widened their bets following firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for March delivery gained Rs 60, or 0.1 per cent, to Rs 61,916 per kg in 12,633 lots.
Analysts said the rise in silver prices was mainly due to fresh positions built by participants on a positive demand trend.
Globally, silver was trading 0.22 per cent lower at USD 23.16 per ounce in New York. PTI RUJ BAL BAL
