New Delhi, Jan 17 (PTI) Silver prices on Monday rose Rs 317 to Rs 61,920 per kg in the futures trade as participants widened their bets following a firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for the March delivery gained Rs 317, or 0.51 per cent, to Rs 61,920 per kg in 12,425 lots.
Analysts said the rise in silver prices was mainly due to fresh positions built by participants on a positive demand trend.
Globally, silver was trading 0.77 per cent higher at USD 23.10 per ounce in New York. PTI RUJ RUJ HRS hrs
