Shares of Eicher Motors on Monday jumped nearly 8 per cent after the company reported a 16 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit after tax for the fourth quarter ended March 2022.
The stock gained 7.46 per cent to settle at Rs 2,617.80 on the BSE. During the day, it rallied 7.86 per cent to Rs 2,627.55.
At the NSE, it jumped 7.94 per cent to finish at Rs 2,626.
Eicher Motors on Friday said its consolidated net profit after tax increased by 16 per cent to Rs 610 crore for the fourth quarter ended on March 31, 2022.
The company had reported a net profit after tax of Rs 526 crore in the January-March quarter of FY21.
Total revenue from operations rose to Rs 3,193 crore in the reported quarter as compared to Rs 2,940 crore in the same period of FY21, Eicher Motors said in a regulatory filing.
For the entire fiscal year ended March 2022, the company posted a consolidated net profit after tax of Rs 1,677 crore as against Rs 1,347 crore in FY21.
Total revenue from operations rose to Rs 10,298 crore during FY22 as compared to Rs 8,720 crore in the preceding fiscal.
