Chennai, Mar 29 (PTI): West Bengal offers unique business opportunities and has a strategic location advantage, said a top official of West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation.
A high level delegation from West Bengal including representatives of the department of food processing, information technology and electronics was here to invite Tamil Nadu industrialists for the forthcoming Bengal Global Business Submit 2022 scheduled to be held in April.
According to West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation Chairman Rajiva Sinha, his state was offering unique business opportunities besides providing ‘strategic location advantage’.
Bengal’s economy is projected to achieve higher growth post Covid-19 much more than the national average. He elaborated on the ‘facilitative’ policy environment for setting up manufacturing facilities at an event organised by Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASSOCHAM).
Sinha said during the previous editions of the Bengal Global Business Summit, the state inked pact for investments worth Rs 1,23,578 crore.
The Bengal Global Business Summit is scheduled to be held on April 21 and 22 in Kolkata.
ASSOCHAM Co-chairman Tamil Nadu Abhaya SriSrimal Jain said the industry body was working across India to help build conducive business environment and facilitate India to build a stronger India.
The event had presence of 200 industry members of ASSOCHAM and about 20 exclusive business meets were organised on the occasion. PTI VIJ VIJ SS SS
