The shares of one of the leading apparel manufacturers and retail companies surged around 17 percent to Rs 234 per share after launching new showrooms in multiple locations across India. 

Cantabil Retail India Ltd is a small-cap stock with a market capitalization of Rs 1,790 per share. 

The company opened 6 New Showrooms at different locations in India during November 2023. Now the total number of Showrooms/ Shops of the Company stands at 504. The company reported in its filing. 

Cantabil Retail India shares have delivered a 4 percent return in the last six months and 2.5 percent in a year. 

Cantabil Retail India revenues have increased by 16 percent year on year from Rs 116 crore in Q2FY23 to Rs 135 crore in Q2FY24, while net profit has fallen by 22 percent in the same period, from Rs 9 crore to Rs 7 crore. 

Cantabil Retail India Ltd is a company that designs, manufactures, brands, and sells clothing under the CANTABIL brand. 

To capitalize on its brand reputation, the business introduced the women’s sector in 2007 and the men’s accessories in 2013. CANTABIL has evolved into a full-service family-wear company over the last 23 years. 

The company planned to expand its showroom network to 700 in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities over the next 2-3 years, with an emphasis on exclusive women’s and children’s apparel stores. 

According to a recent quarter ownership pattern, the corporate promoter holds 74.97 percent of the company while regular investors hold a 25 percent stake. 

The Company’s return on equity increased from 23.77 percent in FY22 to 30.37 percent in FY23, while the return on capital employed rose from 21.23 percent to 24.51 percent during the same period. 

The company’s manufacturing units produces 15 Lakh pcs of garments per annum across products with state-of-the-art manufacturing facility spread across 2 Lakh sq. ft. in Bahadurgarh, Haryana.

At the time of writing this report, Cantabil Retail India shares were trading at Rs 219.45 per share, up Rs 18.45 or 9.38 percent from the previous close price.
