The Uni GoldX Credit Card has recently taken the credit card market by the hand with its unique features and offerings. This lifetime-free credit card is offered through partnerships with banks like YES Bank and Bank of Baroda (BOBCARD).
This life time-free credit card is unique from other cards because users are rewarded with real 24K digital gold on everyday spends. Issued via the Uni app, it converts eligible transactions into Uni Coins (100 coins = ₹1 value). This new way of rewarding the cardholders sets this particular card apart from others in the current market. Check out below to learn everything about this card and how it really works.

Zero Fees & Global Travel Advantage
| Feature | Benefit |
| Lifetime Free (LTF) | Zero Joining Fee and Zero Annual Fee |
| Zero Forex Markup | 0% additional fee on international transactions |
| Fuel Surcharge Waiver | 1% waiver on fuel surcharge (on eligible transaction amounts) |
Understanding Zero Forex Markup
Real-life example: Usually, when you spend money in a different currency (like Dollars, Euros, or Dirhams), banks charge you a “convenience fee” for converting your Rupees.
Normal Card: If you buy a pair of shoes online from a US store for ₹10,000, the bank adds a 3.5% fee. You end up paying ₹10,350.
Uni GoldX: If the shoes cost ₹10,000, you pay exactly ₹10,000.
Uni GoldX Credit Card Win: You save ₹350 just by using this card instead of a standard one.
Understanding Fuel Surcharge Waiver
Real-life example: Almost every petrol pump in India charges a 1% “transaction fee” when you pay with a credit card.
Normal Card: You fill up your tank for ₹2,000. The pump charges your card ₹2,020 (the ₹20 is the 1% surcharge).
Uni GoldX: You still see the ₹2,020 charge initially, but the bank refunds the ₹20 back to your card statement later.
Uni GoldX Credit Card Win: You pay the “cash price” for petrol while still getting the convenience of using a card.
The Redemption Process
Cash Withdrawal: The easiest option is to sell the digital Gold for its equivalent market value, which is then credited directly to the user’s linked bank account.
Physical Gold: Cardholders can opt to mint the accumulated digital Gold into a physical gold coin, sometimes with an option for zero making charges (subject to minimum quantity and terms).
Vouchers: The Uni Coins can also be directly used to purchase merchant vouchers.

Excluded Spends: While you earn rewards on most categories, Rent, Insurance, Utilities, Government payments, and International transactions do not earn Gold rewards.
UPI Limit: The 1% Gold reward on UPI “Scan & Pay” applies to transactions of ₹100 or more.
Surcharge Caps: The 1% Fuel Surcharge Waiver is applicable on transactions between ₹400 and ₹5,000 (capped at ₹500 per month).
Partner Bank: The approval and specific card terms depend on the issuing partnered banks (YES Bank or BOBCARD).
