The shares of a non-banking financial company gained up to 2 percent in today’s trading session after the company’s board scheduled a meeting to consider and approve a stock split.

With a market capitalization of Rs 34,479.43 crore, the shares of Tata Investment Corporation Ltd were trading at Rs 6,814.75 per share, increasing around 1.09 percent as compared to the previous closing price of Rs 6,731.15 apiece.

The shares of Tata Investment Corporation Ltd have seen positive movement after the Board scheduled a Meeting on Monday, August 4, 2025, for consideration and approval proposal for alteration in the share capital of the Company by way of sub-division/split of the existing Equity Shares of the face value of Rs. 10 each, fully paid-up.

Looking forward to the company’s financial performance, revenue decreased by 72 percent from Rs 57 crore in Q4FY24 to Rs 16 crore in Q4FY25. Further, during the same time frame, net profit decreased by 37 percent from Rs 60 crore to Rs 38 crore.

The company’s critical ratios show that the return on equity decreased from 1.28 percent in FY23-24 to 1 percent in FY24-25, while the return on capital employed decreased from 1.07 percent to 0.76 percent. The net profit margin (NPM) for fiscal year 23-24 is 68.55 percent.

The company has strategic investments in key associates, including a ~32% stake in Tata Asset Management Ltd, managing Tata Mutual Funds. It also owns 50% in Tata Trustee Co. Ltd, the trustee to Tata Mutual Fund. Additionally, it holds 25% in Amalgamated Plantations Pvt Ltd, engaged in tea cultivation, allied agri-products, and packaging services, reflecting a diversified portfolio.

Tata Investment Corporation Limited is primarily involved in investing in long-term investments, such as equity shares and equity-related securities. The Company’s activities primarily comprise investing in listed and unlisted equity shares, debt instruments, mutual funds, and other companies in a range of industries.
