Introducing Zerodha PI, their new in-house desktop trading platform

Understanding Zerodha Pi: Pi is a new in-house desktop trading platform that was developed in collaboration with Tradelab, a small financial technology company that is developing cutting-edge trading tools.

What is the significance of the name Pi?

The number is a mathematical constant that represents the circumference to diameter ratio of a circle, which is typically approximated as 3.14159. Since the mid-18th century, it has been symbolised by the Greek letter “,” however it is also written out as “pi” (/pa/). They adore history and its irrationality and transcendence features, hence the term “Pi.”

Release Date:

Is the Pi trading platform supported by Zerodha?

For the past 12 months, they have stopped providing support for the Pi platform and have now totally phased it out. Pi is not a Zerodha platform, and development was delayed and inefficient because software upgrades on Pi were dependent on a third-party vendor.

Their clients all utilise the Zerodha Kite application, which is a web-based platform that can easily be converted into a desktop browser software. Kite may be used with the Streak platform, which allows you to build, backtest, and deploy algorithms without knowing any code.
