New Delhi, Jan 24 (PTI) Crude oil prices rose Rs 84 to Rs 6,403 per barrel on Monday as participants widened their positions on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for the February delivery traded higher by Rs 84, or 1.33 per cent, at Rs 6,403 per barrel in 10,184 lots.

Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in the futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 0.59 per cent to USD 85.64 per barrel, while Brent crude traded 0.49 per cent higher at USD 88.32 per barrel in New York. PTI RUJ ANU ANU
