New Delhi, Jan 25 (PTI) Crude oil prices rose Rs 36 to Rs 6,276 per barrel on Tuesday as participants widened their positions on a firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for the February delivery traded higher by Rs 36, or 0.58 per cent, at Rs 6,276 per barrel in 8,270 lots.
Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in the futures trade.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil rose 0.24 per cent to USD 83.51 per barrel, while Brent crude traded 0.39 per cent higher at USD 86.61 per barrel in New York. PTI RUJ HRS hrs
