New Delhi, Feb 1 (PTI) Crude oil prices rose Rs 23 to Rs 6,584 per barrel on Tuesday as participants widened their positions on a firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for the February delivery traded higher by Rs 23, or 0.35 per cent, to Rs 6,584 per barrel in 10,527 lots.
Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in the futures trade.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil gained 0.22 per cent to USD 88.34 per barrel, while Brent crude traded 1.31 per cent higher at USD 91.21 per barrel in New York. PTI RUJ HRS hrs
