New Delhi, Feb 3 (PTI) Crude oil prices rose by Rs 8 to Rs 6,585 per barrel on Thursday, as participants widened their positions on a firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for the February delivery traded higher by Rs 8, or 0.12 per cent, to Rs 6,585 per barrel in 9,667 lots.
Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in the futures trade.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil lost 0.15 per cent to USD 88.13 per barrel, while Brent crude traded 0.02 per cent lower at USD 89.45 per barrel in New York. PTI RUJ HRS hrs
