New Delhi, Dec 3 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Friday rose by Rs 178 to Rs 5,145 per barrel as participants widened their positions on a firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for December delivery traded higher by Rs 178, or 3.58 per cent, to Rs 5,145 per barrel in 6,479 lots.
Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was quoting higher by 2.81 per cent at USD 68.37 per barrel, while Brent crude gained 2.71 per cent to trade at USD 71.56 per barrel in New York. PTI SHW RUJ RUJ
