New Delhi, Jan 14 (PTI) Silver prices on Friday rose Rs 314 to Rs 62,234 per kg in the futures trade as participants widened their bets following firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for the March delivery gained Rs 314, or 0.51 per cent, to Rs 62,234 per kg in 12,032 lots.
Analysts said the rise in silver prices was mainly due to fresh positions built by participants on a positive demand trend.
Globally, silver was trading 0.32 per cent higher at USD 23.24 per ounce in New York. PTI RUJ HRS hrs
